Twilight Saga: Eclipse Stars Help Build A Playground

The Twilight Saga: Eclipse cast members Tinsel Korey, Alex Meraz, and Julia Jones (“The Wolf Pack”) joined UnitedHealthcare employees, community volunteers and students to help build a playground for LA elementary school kids at Resurrection School who haven’t had one in 60 years! The multi-day build started with a celebrity construction kickoff on Thursday, June 10, where Julia Jones, Tinsel Korey, and Alex Meraz were on hand to prep the site, which will become the school’s first playground in 60 years and the only playground within a two-mile radius.
On Saturday, June 12, local leaders and hundreds of volunteers from the school, community and UnitedHealthcare will gather to turn an empty blacktop into a new playground, along with side projects like planting gardens and painting murals. Saturday’s event also incorporates a Fun and Fit Fest, which includes free health screenings, informational booths, free healthy snacks and other family focused activities.
